An Introduction
Hello there…
So here is a quick introduction to www.cdmiller.co.uk. My name is Colin, or just CDM on here for short, and this is a blog, written by myself, about things I do I guess.
Why a blog then?
Well, blame the Covid 19 pandemic I guess. Usually, I wouldn’t have this much spare time on my hands. I work full-time for a publisher in south west London, and up until the lockdown, I was also a wedding and events photographer, with almost ten years experience.
Lockdown happened, and then naturally people stopped getting married. As a result, I have a bit more spare time than what I would usually have.
I live with my family – my wife Holly and our two kids, so I guess I don’t have that much spare time. But enough spare time to set up another website and keep myself busy with other things.
Thing is, I used write several blog years ago and then my photography business picked up and I had no time left. I also used to write film reviews (mostly for Movie Ramblings), video game reviews and other bits and pieces. I kinda missed it to be honest.
So here I am, several years and one pandemic and I’m back at it again.
Go on then, what’s this one about then?
Pretty much anything really. I initially thought I’d set this up and write mostly about music. When times allows, I like to plug in various instruments and make noises with them, so I guess you can expect some of that.
That said, I have a feeling I will go off on tangents about other things (but hopefully not politics). I enjoy my films, I enjoy days out (when they’re allowed and we’re not in lockdown), I absolutely love photography, cameras and guitars.
So yeah, who knows where this will go… but I’ll do my best to not bore anybody.

Archives: L.A. Woman
So back in 2004 to 2006, I could quite often be found in the basement of an office block in Kingston, playing guitar with 3 other musicians. We never performed live, but we'd meet up at least twice a week and play whatever songs we felt like. Around 2005, I began to...
Video: Merry Xmas Everybody
About Merry Xmas Everybody As John Lennon once sung, so this is Christmas... So yeah, as Christmas approached us this year, I began to consider whether I should bother recording a festive song or not. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas songs, most of them are...
